Located in Hara, Hagacho, Shiso City in Hyogo, Hara Fudo Falls is a famed cascade where a clear stream ringed by primeval forest of beech and fir slides down an 88-meter rock face in three tiers. Chosen among Japan finest hundred waterfalls, it has a powerful male stream beside which a female stream flows, the two pouring into a single basin. From this form it is also called the falls of happiness or the falls of love fulfilled, and it is quietly cherished as a power spot for matchmaking.
The valley, guarded by rich primeval forest, is filled with clear air through every season, and simply walking the trail toward the falls feels as though it cleanses the heart.
