As you climb mountain paths and stone steps, comfortable shoes are essential. The view from the keep platform is the best in Nakatsugawa, so aim for a clear day. To catch the sea of clouds, go on a chilly early morning from late autumn to winter. Gaining some background knowledge at the Naegi Toyama Museum at the foot before climbing makes the visit even more enjoyable.
