Tado Taisha, located in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, is one of the foremost ancient shrines of the northern Ise region, spreading out at the foot of Mount Tado. Long celebrated in the saying "If you visit Ise, visit Tado too," it has been ranked alongside Ise Jingu. Its enshrined deity, Amatsuhikone-no-Mikoto, governs the sun, sea, wind, and rain, and is known for blessings of protection from water and fire and for business prosperity.

Highlights

It is one of Mie Prefecture's representative traditional events. - White Horse Legend and Sacred Horse: At Tado Taisha, white horses serving as the gods' messengers have long been revered, and a sacred horse can be seen in the grounds. - Nature of Mount Tado: Mount Tado rising behind the shrine is also beloved as a hiking course, and its summit offers a sweeping view of the Nobi Plain.
