Osaka Tenmangu

Osaka Tenmangu, located in Kita Ward, Osaka City, is a shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning, and is affectionately known to locals as "Tenjin-san." It is one of Osaka's representative power spots, visited year-round by worshippers praying for exam success and academic achievement. It is also nationally known as the setting of the Tenjin Festival, one of Japan's three great festivals.
