By car, it's about 30 minutes from the Hokuriku Expressway "Tateyama IC." From the Shomyo Falls parking lot (free), it's about a 30-minute walk to the observation deck, with a gentle uphill slope continuing. During the season the parking lot gets crowded, so aiming to arrive before 9 a.m. makes things smooth.

- The promenade is paved, but the closer you get to the falls, the wetter the road surface from spray. Waterproof shoes or athletic shoes with non-slip soles are safe and comfortable.
