Course Route
9:00 Start at Fugan Canal Kansui Park Enjoy the canalside lawns and Tenmon Bridge with the Tateyama peaks as a backdrop.
10:00 Cruise on the water line Board the sightseeing boat along the canal for the rare experience of passing through a lock.
11:30 Stroll the Iwase townscape Visit the old shipping merchant houses in this former Kitamaebune port town.
13:00 Take the tram to the center Ride the retro streetcar back toward Toyama Station.
14:30 Visit Toyama Castle Park Look upon the moat-ringed castle and keep and touch the history of the castle town.
16:00 Head to the Glass Art Museum Admire the glass works that Toyama takes pride in inside striking modern architecture.

Access and Tips
Kansui Park is about ten minutes on foot from the north exit of Toyama Station. Trams are well developed downtown, and a one-day pass is handy.
A Quick Tip
The park cafe is also popular at dusk. If you have time, stay until sunset.
