The Shirasaki Coast in Yura Town, Wakayama, is among the finest coastal scenery in the prefecture, where brilliant white limestone juts out into the sea. Formed of limestone some 250 million years old, the area is also part of the Nanki Kumano Geopark, a natural power spot that conveys the long history of the earth.
