10:00 Start from Kagoshima City Head to Chiran by bus or rental car, about an hour from the city.
10:30 Visit the Chiran Peace Museum Many letters and personal belongings left by young pilots are on display. This is a place to take your time and reflect in silence.
12:30 Lunch with Chiran tea Pause at an eatery where you can enjoy the famous local Chiran tea.
13:30 Walk the samurai gardens Along streets lined with neatly trimmed hedges stand Edo-period samurai residences and dry landscape gardens. Stroll from one to the next, admiring each garden.
15:30 Take in the tea fields Chiran is one of Japan's leading tea regions, its gentle hills spread with beautiful green tea fields.
16:30 Return to Kagoshima City Head back savoring the mood of the day.
