Yatogi Falls, hanging in a valley of Mount Suzu in the town of Tsuno, Miyazaki Prefecture, is a branching cascade with a drop of 73 meters and is chosen among Japan top 100 waterfalls. The majestic falls that appear after a walk through the valley embraced by deep forest make this an overwhelming hidden power spot.
The name of the falls comes from a legend that Emperor Jimmu honed his arrows with the water here before his eastern campaign. Besides Yatogi Falls, more than thirty waterfalls large and small dot Mount Suzu, and together they are designated a national scenic site as the Mount Suzu waterfall group.
