Creperie Alcyon is open 11:30-21:30 Monday to Friday and 11:00-21:30 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (last orders 20:30, takeout until 20:30; it closes as soon as the batter runs out). Opening hours and closing days at Kuromon Market, the Rikuro Ojisan no Mise cheesecake shops and Ichibirian differ from branch to branch.
• Budget and prices: At Kuromon Market, prices for the same ingredient differ from shop to shop. Always check the price before you order or buy. For the prices of sweets and souvenirs, check each shop's official website or the price displays in store.
• Access: Kuromon Market is right by Nippombashi Station on the subway Sennichimae and Sakaisuji lines. Mon cher's Dojima main store is at 2-1-2 Dojimahama, Kita Ward, Osaka City, about 8 minutes' walk from Kitashinchi Station on the JR Tozai Line (Exit 11-5), and also within walking distance of Higobashi Station on the subway Yotsubashi Line (Exit 4) and Watanabebashi Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line (Exit 7). • Parking: All of these are in the city center and most of the shops have no parking lot of their own. If you come by car, use a nearby coin-operated parking lot, or better still, come by public transport.
• Photography rules: At Kuromon Market it is not acceptable to photograph goods, shopkeepers or other customers without permission. When photographing a shopfront or shop interior, always speak to the staff first and get permission. Refrain from using tripods and selfie sticks in the aisles, as they get in the way of other shoppers. Some cake shops and shops inside department stores do not allow photography indoors.
• Points to note: Many shops at Kuromon Market have an eat-in space in front of the shop; follow each shop's instructions on where to eat and how to dispose of rubbish. Seafood and similar items can be expensive, so always check the price before paying. Popular shops may have queues or may close early, so allow plenty of time.
