Practical Information for Your Visit

• Opening hours / closing days: The shops along the Naritasan approach road each keep their own hours and closing days, and many shut in the late afternoon, so a morning or midday visit is the safe bet. The Choshi Electric Railway runs few trains, and the hours when nure-senbei is sold at the shops and on board are also limited. Grill-your-own seafood restaurants may have irregular closing days or close for the winter. In every case, check each shop's or company's official information in advance.
• Budget and price guide: Street snacks such as deep-fried manju cost roughly 100-300 yen each. Nure-senbei comes in bags for a few hundred yen. The cost of grilled seafood varies greatly with the seafood you order, so check the price list at the counter before ordering.
• Access: The Naritasan approach road is about a 10-minute walk from Keisei Narita Station or JR Narita Station to its entrance. For the Choshi Electric Railway, change trains at JR Choshi Station. For the flower fields around Tateyama, take a bus or a rental bicycle from JR Tateyama Station.
