This day-trip natural hot spring stands in Tonosho, the gateway town of Shodoshima. Close to the port, it is easy to drop into while waiting for a ferry or between sightseeing stops. Its open-air bath faces the Seto Inland Sea, and the calcium-rich water is known as a beautifying spring.

Highlights

The spacious main bath is joined by an open-air tub facing the Seto Inland Sea, a sauna, and jet baths. Fed by a calcium and sodium chloride spring, it is a fine place to ease muscles tired from a day of island walking.
