This day plan starts at Shirayamahime Shrine, the head shrine of all Hakusan shrines nationwide, and tours the Tedori gorge and the great nature of the Hakusan foothills. You can take your time with the clear water and greenery spreading at the foot of sacred Mount Haku, and a power spot known for matchmaking. 9:30 Start at Shirayamahime Shrine Visit the head shrine of more than three thousand Hakusan shrines across Japan. Walk the cedar lined approach and pray in the fresh air. 10:30 Draw Water at Hakusan Reisui Receive the spring water of the sacred mountain at the Hakusan Reisui near the grounds. Bringing a bottle is recommended. 11:30 View the Tedori Gorge Head to the Tedori gorge, where cliffs 20 to 30 meters high continue for about 8 kilometers. Look down on the gorge scenery from the Komon and Taizan bridges. 13:00 Lunch at a Roadside Station Take a break at a roadside station in the Hakusan foothills, enjoying a set meal or soba made with local ingredients. 14:30 Negative Ions at Wataga Falls Visit Wataga Falls along the Tedori gorge. Refresh yourself with the power of the falling water and the negative ions. 16:00 Enjoy the Foothill Village Scenery On the way back, take it slow toward Kanazawa while taking in the rural village scenery of the Hakusan foothills.Highlights
