Izumo Daijingu
Izumo Daijingu, located in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, is a prestigious ancient shrine that has long drawn veneration as the first shrine of Tanba Province. Its enshrined deities are Okuninushi-no-Mikoto and his consort goddess. Known as a god of matchmaking, it is a power spot in suburban Kyoto that strongly retains the flavor of nature worship, with the Mount Mikage behind it as its sacred body.
