Yakushiji is right by Nishinokyo Station on the Kintetsu Kashihara Line, and Toshodaiji is about a 10-minute walk from there. Rail access is convenient, and it is only about 10 minutes from central Nara at Kintetsu Nara Station. Admission is roughly 1,000 yen for adults, 600 yen for junior and senior high school students and 200 yen for elementary students at Yakushiji, and 1,000 yen for adults, 400 yen for junior and senior high school students and 200 yen for elementary students at Toshodaiji. Yakushiji is generally open 9:00 to 17:00 (reception until 16:30) and Toshodaiji 8:30 to 17:00 (reception until 16:30). Special openings may carry a separate fee.
