Shigira Ougon Onsen: Hot Spring Guide, Prices & Access

Located within the Shigira Seven Miles Resort in southern Miyakojima, this is the natural hot spring at the southern and western tip of Japan. Practical Travel Notes

Entering in the late afternoon is ideal, letting you swim while it is light and then move to the open-air bath and starry sky after dark. Allow two to three hours for both the pool and the spring. Nearby, Maehama Beach and Kurima Bridge and other Miyako-blue sights lie within driving range, making it a good island base. The budget centers on admission, and bringing your own swimsuit and towel keeps extra costs down.
