Kasa no Misaki

Jutting into the Sea of Japan from Hashitate in Kaga, Kasa no Misaki is a mystical place said to sit at the very end of a straight line that links three sacred mountains, Hakusan, Ontake and Fuji, when drawn on a map. In recent years it has quietly gained attention as a hidden power spot. A white lighthouse stands on the cape, surrounded by sweeping ocean views on nearly all sides.

Highlights

- A geographically mysterious location said to mark the tip of the ley line linking three sacred mountains - The white lighthouse standing on the cape that juts into the sea, long cherished as a guide for ships and fishermen - The walk from the parking lot through a green path to the cape, where you arrive at a quiet space filled only with the sound of waves

Enjoying the Seasons

On clear days the blue of the open ocean is refreshing, and the sunset sinking into the sea is especially beautiful at dusk. The green walking path feels pleasant from spring into summer, while autumn and winter bring the rough waves and clear air typical of the Sea of Japan.

Access and Basic Information

- Location: Hashitatemachi, Kaga, Ishikawa - Access: About 20 minutes by car from Kaga Onsen Station. Reachable by car from the Kaga interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway. About a 5 minute walk from the parking lot - Hours: Open freely - Admission: Free

A Quick Tip

Parts of the walking path near the tip of the cape may be closed, so follow the on-site signs. Some areas have uneven footing, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
