Taradake Onsen
Rising along the Ariake coast of Tara Town, Taradake Onsen is a leading spa of this area, alongside Kamenose and Tara Takezaki hot springs. Known as a scenic seaside resort, it draws its source from deep underground to soothe the fatigue of travel.
Highlights
The open-air baths set on the upper floors command a sweeping panorama of the Ariake Sea and the mountains on the far shore. Bathing while watching the sea change moment by moment with the tides is a luxury unique to this place. There are also private family baths and bathing facilities equipped with saunas, so you can enjoy a variety of baths to suit your mood.
Enjoying the Seasons
From winter into spring, the bounty of the Ariake Sea, including the celebrated Takezaki crab, graces the table. Summer lets you feel the sea breeze from the open-air baths, and autumn brings clear air and a sea glowing in the setting sun. Aiming for sunrise or sunset rewards you with especially striking scenery.
Access and Basic Information
The spa sits along the Ariake coast of Tara Town, near Takezaki. Located beside the main road linking the Nagasaki and Kashima directions, it is convenient by car. Day-use bathing is also available, so you can enjoy the scenic waters without staying overnight.
A Quick Tip
