Chosen as one of Japans top 100 waterfalls, it appears after you cross a bridge over the river, pass in front of Aiga Hachiman Shrine, cross a suspension bridge over the clear stream, and walk about 20 minutes along a streamside path. Embraced by deep forest, the quiet plunge pool sees few visitors and is a healing, lesser-known spot full of natural energy.

The path to the falls is a natural mountain trail. Come in trekking shoes, and do not push on when the water is high. The coolness at the falls is exceptional, making it an especially fine walk in summer.
