Susaki Shrine

Susaki Shrine, tucked quietly among the office buildings of the lively Sakae district in Naka Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, is a venerable shrine said to have been founded in the Heian period. Once one of Nagoya's leading ancient shrines with vast grounds, it now bustles with worshippers praying for good matches as one of the "Three Shrines of Love," a hidden power spot in the heart of the city.

A Quick Tip

Passing through the tiny torii in prayer for a good match is an experience unique to Susaki Shrine. Being close to Sakae and Osu, it is perfect to visit while shopping or strolling. Touring it together with Shiroyama Hachimangu and Yamada Tenmangu as the Three Shrines of Love is also recommended.
