• Guided tour: Advance booking is required without exception. The tour is free of charge (with tastings) and takes from 1 to 9 people. Reservations are accepted online or by telephone for the coming four weeks. Same-day requests are handled by telephone only if places remain. You cannot join without a reservation
• Facilities you can use without a reservation: The Nikka Museum, the paid tasting bar and the distillery shop, 9:15 to 16:15 (the tasting bar takes its last order at 16:00) / the restaurant RITA's KITCHEN, 10:00 to 15:50 (last order 15:20)
• Last entry for visits without a reservation: 15:30 (all facilities close at 16:15)
• Closed: December 23 to January 7 of the following year / June 11 (the New Year holidays and a facility inspection day)
• Fees: The general distillery visit is free of charge. Paid seminars are also available separately
• Tastings: Guided tour participants receive one glass each of three varieties. Tastings are not available to those under 20, those driving a car, motorcycle or bicycle, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding (soft drinks are provided)
• Parking: Free of charge. The lot on the main gate side is reserved for guided tour bookings, while the lot on the shop side is for users of the shop, restaurant and museum. There is no parking for chartered buses
• Access: About a 5-minute walk from "Yoichi Station" on the JR Hakodate Main Line (about 30 minutes by JR from Otaru Station and about 35 minutes from Sapporo Station). By bus it is about 40 minutes from in front of Otaru Station, getting off at "Yoichi Ekimae Jujigai" and walking about 2 minutes. By car it is about 30 minutes from central Otaru and about 1 hour from central Sapporo or New Chitose Airport
