Four-Tiered Waterfall

Fukuroda Falls is also called "Shido no Taki" (Four-Season Falls) because the monk Saigyo wrote that you must visit once each season to truly appreciate it. The four-tiered cascade is truly spectacular.

Winter Ice Falls

In winter, the falls freeze into a stunning ice formation. In cold years, the entire waterfall freezes, creating a fantastical scene enhanced by illuminations at night.

Autumn Foliage

Autumn brings brilliant foliage to the surrounding mountains, creating a breathtaking contrast with the waterfall. The observation tunnel leads to a second viewing platform with a panoramic view.
