A solitary inn standing on the bank of the Hinoji River, which flows through the mountains of Shimanto Town in the headwaters of the Shimanto River. With a history of being cherished as a sacred spring since the Edo period, it is known for offering two kinds of spring source, a rarity even nationwide. In a quiet setting cradled by deep mountains and a pure stream, it is a spa inn where you can savor the profound nature of Shimanto with all five senses.

Highlights

In the open-air bath along the mountain stream, you can enjoy two waters of different quality while listening to the murmur of the river. One is a simple sulfur cold mineral spring carrying the scent of sulfur; the other is a cold mineral spring containing fluoride ions and metaboric acid, and its silky, soft feel eases the fatigue of a long journey. Enjoying the two waters by soaking in each, rather than by tasting, is a real treat unique to this inn.
