Right beside Kochi Castle, this castle-town inn stands on the former lower residence of the Yamauchi family, lords of the Tosa domain. With a historic garden and a natural hot spring in the heart of the city, its convenient location makes it an excellent base for sightseeing.

Highlights

In the large indoor bath and open-air bath fed by natural water welling up from underground, you can slowly soothe the fatigue of travel. The grounds still hold historic remains connected to the domain lords and an elegant garden, making it a refined inn where you can reflect on the history of Tosa.

Enjoying the Seasons

Spring brings cherry blossoms at nearby Kochi Castle, along with early-summer greenery and autumn foliage, letting you feel the seasons of a castle town up close. During the Yosakoi Festival the whole city fills with energy, making it a popular base for the celebrations.

Access and Basic Information

The inn is located in Takajomachi, Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. Kochi Castle, Hirome Market, and the Sunday Market are all within walking distance, and it is about ten minutes by car from JR Kochi Station. Day-use bathing is available.

A Quick Tip

It is ideal as a base for exploring the castle town. Peek into the nearby Sunday Market in the morning and savor Tosa flavors at Hirome Market in the evening.
