Konoka Onsen

Attached to the Konoka roadside station along Route 194, which links Kochi and Ehime, this is a natural hot spring set high in the mountains near the source of the Yoshino River. Its refreshing setting of deep green and clear streams is a real draw.

From the open-air bath you can gaze at the ridgelines of the Shikoku Mountains running toward Kanpuzan and Kamegamori. The smooth, silky alkaline water is loved as a beauty bath, gently easing the fatigue of hiking or driving.

Enjoying the Seasons

Fresh green in spring, cool escape in summer, and vivid foliage in autumn all feel a little different from the lowlands thanks to the higher elevation. In winter the surrounding peaks put on a coat of snow, and bathing in the crisp air is especially fine.

Access and Basic Information

The facility sits at the Konoka roadside station in Ino Town, Agawa District, Kochi Prefecture. It is about an hour by car from central Kochi, heading north on Route 194. Day-use bathing is the main offering, and lodging is also available.

A Quick Tip

With trailheads for the UFO Line and Kanpuzan nearby, it makes an ideal base for mountain outings. A dining area serving local ingredients rounds out the visit.
