Kochi Kuroshio Hotel Ryoma no Yu

East of Kochi City, this natural hot spring is attached to the Kochi Kuroshio Hotel in Noichi, Konan City. Boasting an abundant flow that rises from about 1,300 meters underground, it bears a name honoring the Bakumatsu-era hero Sakamoto Ryoma and is a popular bathing facility among locals.

Highlights

The high-pH alkaline water is known as a beauty bath that leaves the skin smooth. With a spacious main bath, an open-air bath, and a variety of tubs, you can enjoy an easygoing round of bathing much like at a super public bathhouse.

Enjoying the Seasons

It is comfortable to use all year round, and in the mild climate of southern Tosa you can savor a cool finish after bathing in summer and a warming soak in winter. The surroundings hold many sites linked to Ryoma, so many visitors combine a soak with a stroll through history.

Access and Basic Information

The facility is located in Higashino, Noichi, Konan City, Kochi Prefecture. It is about thirty minutes by car from central Kochi and close to Noichi Station on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway. Both lodging and day-use bathing are available.

A Quick Tip

Nearby are the Ryoma History Museum and Noichi Zoological Park, making it a great base for families. Tasting Tosa cuisine after your bath is also recommended.
