About 5 minutes by taxi or bus from Nagato Misumi Station on the JR Sanin Main Line. About 10 minutes from central Nagato via National Route 191. It is an easy place to stop by as a base for sightseeing in Hagi and Nagato.

• Water quality: There are two sources. "Usagi no Yu" is a radioactive spring containing radon (source around 29C), and the "Yumen Onsen Fureai Center" is a simple spring (source around 35C), noted for its silky feel on the skin.
• Day-use bathing: Day trips are available. The "Fureai Center" is city-run, with a sauna, open-air bath, and dining area, while "Usagi no Yu" is a source-flow public bath. Confirming fees and hours in advance is recommended.
• Access: About 5 minutes by taxi or bus from Nagato Misumi Station on the JR Sanin Main Line. About 10 minutes from central Nagato via National Route 191, and about 30 to 40 minutes from various ICs on the Chugoku Expressway.

• Spring quality: Alkaline simple spring. The source is 38 degrees at Yumen Kanko Hotel and 34.6 degrees at Yumen Fureai Center
• Benefits: Skin conditions, beautifying the skin, recovery from fatigue and more. The radium content is said to be among the highest in western Japan
• Free-flowing water straight from the source: "Usagi no Yu", the public bathhouse on the grounds of Yumen Kanko Hotel, is free-flowing straight from the source
• Bathing hours at Usagi no Yu: 11:00-19:30 on weekdays and 10:00-19:30 on weekends and public holidays (both end at 20:00). Separate baths for men and women. It is free for overnight guests; for day-use fees, please contact Yumen Kanko Hotel (0837-43-2000)
• The hotel's large communal bath: For overnight guests only. 6:30-9:00 and 16:00-23:30 (ending at 24:00), separate baths for men and women
• Private bath: "Yura" at Yumen Kanko Hotel. It has an indoor bath with tatami flooring and an open-air bath, and costs 1,870 yen for 50 minutes for overnight guests. Slots start at 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00, and advance reservations are required
• Opening hours of Yumen Fureai Center: 10:00-21:00 (reception until 20:30)
• Closing day of Yumen Fureai Center: Every Tuesday (the following Wednesday when Tuesday is a public holiday)
• Bathing fees at Yumen Fureai Center: 500 yen for junior high school students and above, 200 yen for elementary school students and younger, and 100 yen for infants. Please bring your own towel
• Facilities at Yumen Fureai Center: A large communal bath, an open-air bath, a cascading water bath, a bubble bath, a sauna, a large tatami hall, a multipurpose hall, a lounge, a rest room, a table tennis room and tennis courts. There is no private bath. If you want exclusive use of the large tatami hall or the multipurpose hall (which has karaoke equipment) or similar, a separate usage fee and an advance reservation are required
• Staying at Yumen Fureai Center: You can also stay overnight in one of its 6 rooms (5 Japanese-style and 1 Western-style)
• Check before you go: Yumen Fureai Center has in the past detected Legionella bacteria in its bathtubs and temporarily suspended the large communal bath and the open-air bath. If you are travelling from far away, it is safest to call (0837-43-1000) to check the status of the baths on the day
• Parking: Yumen Fureai Center has 50 free spaces. Yumen Kanko Hotel has 40 spaces for ordinary cars
• Access (by train and bus): About 5 minutes by Bocho bus from Nagato-Misumi Station on the JR San'in Main Line, getting off at "Yumen Onsen". By taxi from Nagato-Misumi Station it is about 8 minutes to Yumen Fureai Center
• Access (by car): About 50 minutes from Shin-Yamaguchi Station. About 20 minutes from the Edo IC on the Ogori-Hagi Road heading toward Nagato. From the Mine IC on the Chugoku Expressway it is about 40 minutes
• Underfoot and steps: Yumen Kanko Hotel has no elevator. If you are uneasy about going up and down stairs, it is reassuring to mention it when you book
• How long to allow: About one hour for bathing alone. Half a day if you add a meal or a rest at the Fureai Center

Misumi lies on the inland side of Nagato City, and by car it is easy to reach both the coastal side of Nagato and the Mine area from here. Since it is about 40 minutes to the Mine IC, you can also plan a trip out to Beppu Bentenike Pond in Mine City or toward Akiyoshidai.
