Miran Gyu

Mishima cattle, long preserved on Mishima island off Hagi, are a designated national natural treasure. Miran gyu inherits that bloodline through crossbreeding with other stock, and it is prized as a rare and deeply flavorful brand beef.

Highlights

Fine marbling meets the concentrated savor of lean meat, giving a richness that grows the more you chew. It shines as steak and yakiniku, and is also popular in burgers and croquettes.

Enjoying the Seasons

It can be enjoyed year round, and paired with Hagi seafood the traveling table changes with each season. It makes a fine finish to a stroll through the castle town.

Access and Basic Information

Served at directly managed shops a few minutes by car from JR Higashi Hagi Station, and at restaurants around Hagi.
