• Spring quality: A colorless, transparent, weakly alkaline simple spring. The source temperature is 46 degrees. Neuralgia, muscle pain and joint pain, rheumatism and skin conditions are listed among its benefits
• How the water is used: Free-flowing spring water with no recirculation
• Ganso Kappa no Yu (run by Mutsu City, free of charge): Admission is free of charge. The operating period runs from April 19 to November 10, and it is closed in winter. It is closed every Wednesday for scheduled cleaning
• Time slots at Ganso Kappa no Yu: Men and women bathe at separate times. Men: 7:00-9:00, 11:10-13:00 and 15:10-17:00. Women: 9:10-11:00 and 13:10-15:00. Note that you cannot enter outside these times
• Meoto Kappa no Yu (attached to the Okuyagen Shukei Park Rest House): 230 yen for adults, 110 yen for elementary and junior high school students, free of charge for elementary school age and younger. Tickets are bought from the vending machine inside the rest house
• Opening hours of Meoto Kappa no Yu: 9:00-18:00 from May to August, 9:00-17:00 in April and from September to October, and 10:00-17:00 from November to March
• Closing days of Meoto Kappa no Yu: Every Tuesday from November to April, and December 29 to January 3. In addition, scheduled cleaning takes place every Thursday, when entry is not possible from 17:00 from May to August and from 16:00 from September to October
• Layout of the baths: Both are open-air baths separated by gender, with no indoor baths and no showers. As there are no facilities for washing yourself, plan on simply soaking in the water
• Footbath: Meoto Kappa no Yu has a spacious footbath attached. It is fitted with handrails, so it can be used even by those unsteady on their feet
