Owani Onsen
Located at the southern edge of the Tsugaru Plain, Owani Onsen is an ancient spring with eight hundred years of history. It is said that lords of the Tsugaru domain once came here for cures, and old communal bathhouses still remain scattered throughout the town. The local specialty, bean sprouts grown using the heat of the springs, is a flavor unique to this place.

Access and Basic Information
The nearest stations are Owani Onsen on the JR Ou Line or Owani on the Konan Railway. Close to Hirosaki City and convenient by rail, it is easy to drop by.

Some communal baths run rather hot, so rinse yourself lightly before entering to let your body adjust. Be sure to try the famous bean sprouts as a souvenir or in a meal.
