This is a hot spring inn in Kamogawa, in southern Boso, looking out over the broad expanse of the Pacific. The aquarium has enough to fill half a day to a full day, so checking in around evening and touring the two spring sources makes for a nice flow. The rooftop hot spring pool feels best from midday to late afternoon when the view opens up, and the sunset hour is a highlight too. Besides Kamogawa Sea World, the area has the Nanahatake Road flower fields and the Oyama Senmaida terraced rice paddies, letting you taste both the sea and the countryside. No regular closing day is set, but the facility closes irregularly for inspections. * There is no "bathing only" option; use is via the plan above

• Spring quality: The inn's own source, "Shiosai no Yu," is a sodium chloride spring. • What needs to be reserved: The shuttle bus from Awa-Kamogawa Station (by the previous day), the private family bath, day-trip plans that include a meal, and relaxation treatments. The bathing plan with in-house vouchers can be used without a reservation
• Bathing etiquette: A swimsuit or the designated garment must be worn in the rooftop hot spring pool. For day-trip visitors, once you leave the building your bathing ticket and vouchers both become invalid
• Safety notes: Sulfur-containing water is comparatively strong on the body, so avoid long soaks and keep yourself hydrated. In summer, also take care about sunburn and heatstroke at the rooftop pool
