Nemichi Shrine (Monet's Pond)

Nemichi Shrine, located in Itadori, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, is an ancient shrine set in a quiet mountain village. A small reservoir beside its approach became famous for looking as beautiful as Claude Monet's masterpiece "Water Lilies," and as the so-called "Monet's Pond" it now draws tourists from across the country.
