Matsunoyama Onsen

Matsunoyama Onsen is a hot spring in heavy-snow country, celebrated as one of Japan's finest medicinal waters. Its source is said to be ancient seawater sealed underground, and the dense, mineral-rich water warms the body from within. The surrounding landscape of terraced rice fields is a sight in itself.
