The address is Maezato, Ishigaki City. It is about twenty minutes by car from Painushima Ishigaki Airport, and the Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal is also easy to reach by car. Practical Travel Notes

It works well as a base for touring Ishigaki. A recommended flow is to spend the day island-hopping to Taketomi or Iriomote and visiting Kabira Bay, then return to the resort in the evening to unwind at the spa or bath. The Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal, from which boats depart to the outer islands, is reachable by car, so planning around the morning ferries makes good use of a day. Spa treatments are often by reservation, so book early once your dates are set. After a bath or treatment, keep up your fluids, and treat sun-touched skin gently. The budget varies with the lodging plan and the treatment, so confirm it on the official site.

Resting in the large bath between resort activities means you can savor your island hopping the next day all the more. The popular spa fills up quickly, so booking early is reassuring.

Practical Information for Your Visit

• Day-use bathing: Not available. The FAQ on the official website states clearly: "There is no large communal bath, sauna or jacuzzi. All guest rooms have a bath and toilet, so please use the bathroom in your room." There is no hot spring or large communal bath in the building
• Spa: Spa Agarosa. It offers treatments using natural Okinawan ingredients. It is very popular and preferred dates fill up quickly, so book early once your travel dates are set
• Other facilities: Four pools indoors and outdoors combined, Maesato Ocean Park (within Maesato Beach; open from March 1 to the end of November), the Maesato Golf Course (8:00 to 18:00, last start 16:30), tennis courts (7:00 to 21:00), a gym (24 hours) and a rental house (9:00 to 17:00; from July 1 onward, 9:00 to 19:00)

• What needs a reservation: Spa treatments, the shuttle taxi, and lunch and dinner for non-guests (reservation required in advance)
• Safety notes: On Ishigaki Island the swimming season generally runs from the beach opening in March to around October. Typhoons approach relatively often in August and September, so check operating conditions before you travel. With an average annual temperature of 24 degrees and average humidity of 77%, it feels muggy, so do not forget sunscreen and hydration when outdoors

Note: If you want to use a large communal bath on Ishigaki Island, one option is "Niifai-yu" at the Art Hotel Ishigakijima in the town center (2nd floor; day-use bathing 16:30 to 24:00, last entry 23:45; 2,000 yen for ages 13 and over including a rental towel set). It is not a hot spring, however, but a bath of ultra-soft water filtered from groundwater.

Note: There is no railway on Ishigaki Island. You get around by rental car, bus or taxi.
