The former Kanponoyado Yorii, long loved as a hot-spring inn standing on a hill in Yorii, now operates as Kamenoi Hotel Nagatoro Yorii. In addition to lodging, it is a hot-spring inn proud of its views, where you can soak in a slightly thick natural spring together with the scenery of the mountains of Chichibu. Its location, easy to drop by mid-drive or sightseeing, is another appeal.

Highlights

The fine outlook only a hilltop can offer is a great appeal. Beyond the windows the mountain ridges of Chichibu spread out, and you can bathe while gazing at a landscape that changes with season and time of day. The interior is spacious, and relaxing in the rest space after a bath is a pleasant moment too.

Enjoying the Seasons

Cherry blossoms in spring, green in summer, clear skies in autumn, and crisp air in winter, the hilltop view can be enjoyed through all four seasons. In seasons when the air is clear you can see all the way to distant mountains. Nearby are many sightseeing spots in Nagatoro and Yorii, and not a few people visit combining the trip with gorge scenery or river play.

Access and Basic Information

The address is 2267 Sueno, Yorii Town, Osato District, Saitama. The water is a pH 9.6 alkaline simple spring, notable for its slightly thick, soft feel on the skin. The nearest station is Yorii, served by the Chichibu Railway, the JR Hachiko Line, and the Tobu Tojo Line, about 10 minutes from the station by free shuttle bus. Access by car is convenient too, with parking fully provided. Whether day bathing is available, along with prices and hours, can change, so be sure to check official information before visiting.

Practical Travel Notes

To enjoy the hilltop view, the clear-aired autumn and winter, or dusk when lights begin to come on across the town, are especially recommended. Combining with a stay lets you savor the scenery thoroughly, from the night view to the mountain ridges the next morning. The area is dotted with sights such as the Nagatoro gorge, the streets of Yorii, and the Hachigata Castle ruins, so you can spend a day combined with sightseeing. Check the budget and plans on the official website, and for day use, arriving with time to spare before the reception cutoff is reassuring.

A Quick Tip

Aiming to visit at dusk, when the view is fine, lets you meet a beauty different from daytime. If you want to enjoy the scenery slowly, it is recommended to mind your position by the window or in a bath with a good outlook. Because the facilitys name has changed from Kanponoyado Yorii, confirm using the current name when booking or inquiring.
