Dogashima Onsen: Day-Use Hot Spring Baths & Prices

Access and Basic Information

By car, cross the Amagi heights from the Tomei Numazu Interchange to reach west Izu. The cave-touring cruise generally runs from about 10:00 to 16:00, with adult fares around 1,500 yen as a guide (please check the official site for the latest). The hilltop Sawada Park open-air bath, closed on Wednesdays, is a cherished bath overlooking the sea.

Practical Travel Notes

West Izu is not the easiest to reach, so a plan with time to spare is more comfortable. Buses from the Shuzenji direction are limited in number, so check the timetable in advance. If you are after the sunset, an overnight stay is recommended, letting you savor everything from the evening glow to the morning sea. Combining the cruise, the Sawada Park bath, and a walk along the paths fills a good half to full day.
