Atagawa Onsen

On the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in the town of Higashiizu, Atagawa Onsen is a seaside hot spring town full of classic spa atmosphere, with steam rising here and there throughout the streets. Access and Basic Information

The location is convenient, with the hot spring district reachable on foot from Izu-Atagawa Station on the Izu Kyuko Line. It is accessible by limited express from the Tokyo direction, and public baths and day-use facilities are available around the station.

Because the waters run hot, take care not to overheat and rest often. The seaside open-air bath is especially fine at dusk or in the morning.
