Asebi Onsen: Day-Use Hot Spring Baths & Prices

This is Yasuragi no Sato, a day-use hot spring in Itano town at the foot of the Asan Mountains in northern Tokushima. In a quiet mountain setting, its varied baths and spacious layout have long been loved by locals.

• Spring quality: An alkaline mineral spring containing sulphur (qualifying under Article 2 of the Hot Spring Act). pH 8.9
• Source temperature: 20.7 degrees. It flows naturally from 250 metres underground at Osaka in Itano Town
• How the water is used: As this is a cold mineral spring with a low source temperature, the water in the baths is heated. There is also a Gensen Yakuso (Asebi-no-Yu) bath that uses the water straight from the source
• Baths: Indoor baths (one each for men and women), open-air baths (one each for men and women), the large Yasuragi-no-Yu pool, a jet bath, an aqua bath (bubble bath), a cascading bath, a dry sauna, a mist sauna and a cold plunge bath
• Accommodation: Not available. This is a day-bathing facility only
• Opening hours: 10:00 to 21:30 (last admission 21:00)
• Closed: Every Wednesday (closed the following day when Wednesday falls on a national holiday) and over the New Year period (December 29 to January 3)
• Bathing fees: 600 yen for adults (junior high school age and above), 400 yen for children (from age 3 to elementary school age) and 400 yen for Itano Town residents aged 70 and over. Reduced fees for visitors with disabilities are 480 yen for adults, 320 yen for children and 320 yen for Itano Town residents aged 70 and over. These rates were revised on April 1, 2024
• Coupon books: For adults, 6,000 yen for a book of 11 tickets and 12,000 yen for a book of 23. For children and Itano Town residents aged 70 and over, 4,000 yen for 11 tickets and 8,000 yen for 23
