Tsurugisan Yuma Onsen
This day-use hot spring wells up in Sadamitsu, Tsurugi town, at the foot of Mount Tsurugi, the second-highest peak in western Japan. Colorless and clear with a faint slipperiness, it is cherished as a beauty bath that leaves the skin smooth.
Highlights
The water is a sodium bicarbonate and chloride cold mineral spring. The silky feel of the water is pleasant, and the open-air bath looks out on the Tsurugi range. Seasonal specialty baths such as yuzu or herb baths also change through the year, so each visit brings a different scent and color.
Enjoying the Seasons
Spring greenery, a bath to wash off climbing sweat in summer, autumn foliage dyeing the mountains, and winter views of snow-capped Mount Tsurugi let you savor the mountain seasons straight from the tub. It is also a handy base for climbing Tsurugi or touring Iya.
