Tochio Onsen

Welling up in the valley where the Kamata and Sekimi rivers meet, Tochio Onsen is the hot spring in Okuhida that most strongly keeps a rustic, country feel. Wrapped in the murmur of the river and the quiet of the mountains, it suits a journey of easygoing bath hopping.

Along the Kamata River there are shared open-air baths and footbaths where you can rest to the sound of the water. From the bridges around it spread out beautiful views of the ravine.

Access and Basic Information

Access is by Nohi Bus from Takayama Station toward Shinhotaka. By car it lies along National Route 471.
