Course Route
9:00 Start at Daikanbo Begin at Daikanbo, Aso's signature lookout. Below you the outer rim and caldera spread out, while the Aso Gogaku peaks line the distance. In the morning you may even see a sea of clouds.
10:30 Drive the Milk Road The Milk Road runs through grassland like a road in the sky. Enjoy the wide-open views as you cruise along at an easy pace.
11:30 On to Kusasenrigahama Kusasenrigahama spreads out at the foot of Mount Nakadake. The scene of green grassland and ponds looks like a painting, with grazing horses adding a peaceful touch.
12:30 Lunch near the Aso Volcano Museum Restaurants and souvenir shops gather beside Kusasenri. Try Aso akaushi beef dishes and take a break.
14:00 Stop at Aso Shrine and finish End at Aso Shrine, where restoration is progressing. Enjoy the approach town as well before wrapping up your drive.
