Yuda Onsen

Spreading through the heart of Yamaguchi city, this hot spring carries a legend that a wounded white fox healed its injuries by bathing here night after night. Known for its abundant flow and gentle, skin-friendly water, it is counted among the three great springs of the old Bocho region.

Highlights

Free foot baths dot the town, offering easy stops during a stroll. Inoue Park holds monuments connected to the poets Nakahara Chuya and Taneda Santoka, lending a literary air to the walk.

Enjoying the Seasons

Cherry blossoms fill the park in spring, evening foot baths bring relief from summer heat, nearby foliage colors the autumn walks, and steam rising over the streets warms the winter. It can be enjoyed all year.

Access and Basic Information

It is about a ten-minute walk from Yuda Onsen Station on the JR Yamaguchi Line. Located in the city center, it makes a convenient base for sightseeing and dining.

A Quick Tip

Let the smooth water settle into your skin with ladle rinses, and the soft after-bath feeling will linger far longer.
