Crab Cuisine

Tottori is Japan's top snow crab and red snow crab landing port. From raw crab sashimi to steamed, grilled and hot pot.

Gyukotsu Ramen

A Kurayoshi area speciality โ€” ramen with a clear light broth from beef bones. Gentle, distinctive and satisfying.

Tottori Pears

Japan's top pear producer. Twentieth Century pears grown in the sandy soil near the Tottori Dunes are exceptionally sweet.

Daisen-dori (Brand Chicken)

Free-range chickens raised on the slopes of Mt Daisen. Tender meat with clean flavour.

Sakaiminato Seafood

Sakaiminato Port lands huge quantities of bluefin tuna and other seafood at low prices.

Access

Tottori City and Sakaiminato Port area have the best seafood restaurants. Crab season peaks November through March.
